Top-class events and sporting events are among the event highlights of a year!
But traditional flea markets and livestock markets, as well as many concerts and festivals, are also firmly established in the year. These include the Jazz and Samba Festival (every two years), open-air theater events, the Alphorn Fair, and much more. A platform for literature is the Literary Spring, which has been taking place in the Waldecker Land and is known far beyond its borders - it is a festival of language that reflects the Brothers Grimm in all its facets. Numerous events of the North Hesse Cultural Summer also take place in Waldecker Land at selected locations. And for all Schlager fans, there are numerous concerts featuring the greats of the German Schlager scene.
And not to forget the sporting events such as the Fédération Internationale de Ski (FIS) World Cup or the Mountain Bike Festival in Willingen or the hiking marathon or... or... or!
