The path leads around the Heimberg mountain and offers beautiful views.
Along the way lies the Christenbörnchen, a small spring located on the road between Usseln and Rattlar. According to legend, Saint Sturmius, a disciple of Boniface, baptized the inhabitants of the Upland region at this spring in the 8th century AD. Baptismal water is still drawn from the Christenbörnchen today. Joint baptismal celebrations of the Upland church communities also take place at the Christenbörnchen at regular intervals.Good to know
