Willingen-Schwalefeld (S1)

The route leads through the village of Schwalefeld and uphill into the upper Aar valley, passing the barbecue area. Afterwards, you cross the Aar river and at the foot of the Orenberg hill, you reach a large open area with beautiful views. The path continues steeply up to the summit of the Orenberg. From the summit cross, there is a magnificent view of... Willingen and the surrounding landscape. From now on, the route leads only downhill, past the former Iberg ski lift back to Schwalefeld.

Sturdy shoes, weather-appropriate clothing, backpack provisions and sufficient fluids (water, tea) are recommended.

By car via the B251 to Willingen (Upland), continue to Schwalefeld, in the town center turn into the street "Zur Kirchwiese"

Bus/train to train station Willingen, continue by bus or call-a-taxi, stop Schwalefeld, Upländer Hof
