Willingen Leisure cycling (W4>marked in green)

From the visitor center you can go to the center of Willingen. There we turn onto Schwalefelder Straße in the direction DiemelseeWe follow this road until we reach the barrier wall of the Diemelsee and from there, we cycle along the Diemel Cycle Path (recognizable by the ammonite signpost) to Usseln. The Diemel Cycle Path continues along the river through the beautiful Diemel Valley. In Usseln, we turn onto Sportstraße, then onto Am Schneppelnberg and cycle back to Willingen to the visitor center.

 We recommend functional, weather-appropriate cycling clothing, backpack food, sufficient fluids (water, tea), an air pump, a repair kit and a multi-tool.

By car via the B251 to Willingen (Upland), car access to the parking lot at the visitor center, Am Hagen 10, 34508 Willingen (Upland)

Free parking at the visitor center/lagoon pool

Bus or train to the station Willingen, call-shared taxi (AST) stop at the visitor center/lagoon pool or 10-minute walk to the visitor center
