Hiking Marathon 2026 - 24-hour hiking adventure at Lake Edersee

In the Edersee quality hiking region, you can hike along the famous Lichtenfels Panorama Trail, the Edersee Urwaldsteig Trail, and the Kellerwaldsteig Trail, among others. Amidst pristine forests—past gorges, cliffs, and streams—you'll experience the realm of ancient beech and oak trees up close. The mesmerizing views of the fjord-like Edersee Lake are unforgettable.

What counts is not who is faster, better or who reaches the finish line first, but rather the hiking experience with like-minded people. Everyone hikes at their own pace, enjoys the many small natural wonders along the route in their own way or lingers at the numerous viewpoints or food and adventure stations. Along the way you make contacts and motivate other participants to persevere, because everyone has the motivation to complete around 42 kilometers (hiking marathon) or around 84 kilometers (extreme hike).
