The 30 km long City-Country-Lake Tour connects the district and Hanseatic city Korbach directly with the Diemelsee.
A moderately difficult bike tour that requires a good level of fitness.

The starting point is at the parking lot of the tourist information Diemelsee in Heringhausen.

We turn from the parking lot onto Kirchstraße and cycle toward the dam. After about 500 meters, we turn right onto Siekesweg and follow the path out of Heringhausen. The path leads us through the high valley toward Rhenegge. We pass through Rhenegge and continue to Adorf. We follow Arolserstraße until we reach the turnoff to Heimberg. There we face a climb. Once at the top, we cycle through Wirmighausen to the northernmost district of the district town. Korbach, the small village of Helmscheid. After crossing the country road, a rapid descent awaits us towards the twice-Hessentag city Korbach.

Korbach is bypassed on the left and after about 32 km we reach the former southern train station, an ideal starting point for a subsequent city tour.
