6 km long circular hiking trail over the Sonnenberg and to the deserted village of Holzhausen.

From the hiking car park, walk about 400 m northeast along the country road to the refuge. Turn right to Sonnenberg and continue downhill to the

Country road. Before reaching the road, turn left along the edge of the forest. Then turn right to the water treading pool and continue to the country road. Here, go right for 50 m and then left onto the asphalted field path. Turn right before the buildings and continue straight ahead through the forest to the "Holzhausen" shelter. Continue straight ahead for another 200 m along the field path, then turn right uphill through the forest to the country road. Turn left next to the road and return to the starting point (approx. 350 m).
