The name of the trail says it all: Over a length of 9,4 km you can enjoy fantastic views of the Diemelsee, the dam wall, and the Sauerland mountains. Enjoy the ever-changing landscape of forests, mountains, valleys, and meadows as you wander through. Listen to the tranquility of nature in the nature park. DiemelseeDon't miss the detour to the summit cross on St. Muffert!
At the beginning we have a steep climb - it is the only one - from about 360 m above sea level to almost 600 m above sea level.
Magnificent views reward the slight effort. What follows can simply be described as a leisurely hike. We hike through various valleys with ever-changing views and panoramas. Shorter sections through forest alternate with paths through fields and meadows. At the end, we descend a somewhat steep path back to the shore of the reservoir.

Directions
Starting point: Florenbicke hiking car park, 500 m beyond the northern edge of Heringhausen on the road to Helminghausen/dam. From the Florenbicke hiking car park, turn left following the white PW markings on a black background (Heringhausen Panorama Trail). Continue uphill with almost no elevation gain; the next steep section takes you to an intermediate summit. Here, at the boundary stone dating from 1769, take the path to the right and reach the lookout point with the summit cross on St. Muffert. Follow the previous markings to the left to the summit of the Eisenberg. Behind the summit, already on the descent, a detour to the next lookout point overlooking the reservoir is recommended. Leaving the forest with a magnificent view to the east, leave the Diemelsteig trail to the right and stay on the Panoramaweg (PW) until you rejoin the Diemelsteig trail, which you follow towards Adorf. At the edge of the forest, leave the Diemelsteig trail and continue straight ahead along the edge of the forest. Go around the small forest bulge and take the next path to the right until you reach the asphalt road, then turn right again. Follow the asphalt road to the end of the forest edge. At the intersection with hiking trail H2 and Nordic Walking trail 69, turn left. At the junction with hiking trail H2, leave the asphalt road. Cross a shallow valley and hike over the ridge of the gorge on Nordic Walking trail 68 or the Panoramaweg (PW). At the mountain hut, cross the gorge again and reach a meadow path. At the hairpin bend, before turning right again, take a look at the lake. At the junction with the H2, turn right across the meadow back to the village. You walk past the golf course. Diemelsee Pass the Diemelsteig Hut and children's playground to the main road. Turn right and it's just a few steps back to the parking lot.
