Paradise and World Cup ski jump / Willingen (W1) (Quality Tour)

Start on the street "Am Hagen," turn left at the lagoon pool and cross the parking lot. At the railway cutting, turn right towards the viaduct, then descend very steeply (slippery when wet/snowy). Pass the adventure golf course below the viaduct, cross a road, and continue straight ahead to the Stryck district. Pass the Kneipp water-treading basin and Stryck Pond, and enjoy the gentle murmur of the Itter River. In Stryck, pass the "Gutshof Itterbach" estate and the "Stryckmühle" mill to reach the world's largest ski jump. Continue through the romantic Stryck Valley (which means "long, narrow valley" in Celtic), past the "Grebensteine" nature reserve to the so-called Waschkump. From here, the path climbs approximately 1,5 km uphill in the Hermecke Valley, through what is known as "Paradise." Before reaching the ridge at around 780 m, turn right for the return route through spruce and mixed forest. After about 3 km, you reach the Mühlenkopf ski jump again, this time at the top of the inrun tower. The path continues downhill, and after a sharp right turn, it then turns left onto the narrow forest nature trail. You'll pass a charcoal kiln and interesting illustrated displays about the local flora and fauna. Below the wildlife park, you can see... Willingen  lying in the valley with the beautiful mountain panorama all around.
