The red bear tour leads via Orenberg, Schwalefeld and the Aartal back to Willingen

The Red Bear Tour is part of Willingen's MTB trails for children. These are so well connected and signposted that parents and children can decide during the tour which route they want to take and how long the route should be. Important: The difficulty profiles are only guidelines – these can naturally vary from child to child. Children should not ride alone here. Mountain bikes are required in all cases. Riding the trails is at your own risk. Sometimes hikers or even motorists may share the same trails.

The red Bear Tour is marked black at the beginning and takes us over the Orenberg with a very, very steep climb, where you'll most likely have to push your bike for about 200 meters. But that's part of a proper mountain bike tour.

The route of the Red Bear is a little more difficult in terms of fitness than the Black Bear, but technically not as demanding.

Directions

The red Bear Tour is marked black at the beginning and takes us over the Orenberg with a very, very steep climb, where you'll most likely have to push your bike for about 200 meters. But that's part of a proper mountain bike tour.

As a reward, we're treated to a flowing, gently sloping singletail through the forest. At the Schwalefelder lift junction, we follow the red bear symbol.

Our route takes us to Schwalefeld and through the Aartal to WillingenJust beyond Schwalefeld, there's a small playground with a bike course where the kids are sure to have a blast. We leave the Aartal Valley via a small stream, which we can cycle through, and then a longer, rideable climb. From the entrance to the Stryck, expect traffic.
