Hang gliding tour

Fri. 13.11.2026 (Battenberg, Kohlen- u. Segelsberg)

Start the tour in Battenberg (Eder): After leaving the mountain town nestled in the forest behind you, you'll enter the local forest and, on increasingly steep paths, reach the highlight of this tour: the summit of the Eisenberg, Battenberg's highest mountain. This mountain was once a Celt's landmark. The view from the 500-meter-high summit is magnificent. At the hang glider launch site, simply close your eyes and take flight—or venture out for a breathtaking view of the Eder loop winding through the countryside. Reddighausen is a good place to take a short break. The route continues along the Wartburg Trail around the Struthkopf and Spinnerhöhe; a detour to the Holzhäuser Cliffs is recommended.

Disruption report on the premium hiking trails of the hiking fairytale Burgwald-Ederbergland

Occasionally, due to severe weather or damage, a fallen tree may block the trail or a marker may be missing. Therefore, we ask for your assistance if you notice something while out on the trail.
