Route 1 leads up the idyllic Wilde Valley. The route then goes uphill through the wildly romantic Taubental to the wooded heights. The route leads past the Wolfklippen into the Bilstein nature reserve with the Bilsteinklippen, one of the most valuable rock complexes in Hesse. The rare Pentecost carnation grows here. We return to the starting point through drought-loving sessile oak forests and open rubble forests.
