Ottlar is a charming holiday resort in the immediate vicinity of the Diemeltalsperre and is dominated by the mighty doze off (738 m) with its observation tower, the highest mountain in the municipality Diemelsee. Only about 10 kilometers separate the district from the well-known winter sports area Willingen. Both in summer and winter, you can experience the charms of the Waldeck Sauerland region. A water treading pool, barbecue area, indoor pool, shelter, observation tower on the Dommel, bowling alley, horse riding, the Dommelhalle with guest room (approx. 400 seats), playgrounds, guest events, and beautiful hiking trails with 100 benches can be found in and around Ottlar.
