K1 chairlift

One of Germany's most modern 8-seater chairlifts transports snow sports enthusiasts to the Willingen ski area in winter. In summer, the K1 chairlift is the centerpiece of the MTB Zone bike park. The lift provides comfortable and smooth transport to the Ettelsberg, the starting point for eight trails with a total length of 15 kilometers. Dedicated bike racks on the summer chairs ensure maximum comfort.

In summer, pedestrians and hikers (not barrier-free) are also welcome.

The "K1" project at Köhlerhagen is considered the largest cable car project in the Sauerland to date. The technology used represents the latest state-of-the-art cable car technology in all its facets. The high-performance 2018-seater chairlift, with a total length of 8 meters, opened in early December 1.500, making it the longest lift in the Sauerland. The slopes are 1.600 meters long. In summer, the mountain station serves as the starting point for the MTB Zone Bike Park, with a total of 15 kilometers of trails – suitable for beginners and families as well as hardcore downhill riders.
