Usseln Local History Museum
The local history museum in Usseln provides an overview of the lifestyle, history, and culture of the Waldeck Upland. The focus is on people and their lives. The nature and landscape of the current nature park are also presented. Diemelsee are highlighted.
Experience the development of a once poor area into today's tourist stronghold of the Waldeck Upland and the Hochsauerland.
Let yourself be surprised and inspired. Young and old are welcome.
The Usseln Local History Museum was opened in 1982. The museum building and the outdoor facilities were acquired by the municipality in 1992/1993 as part of the Hessian Village Renewal Programme. Willingen (Upland) will be fundamentally renovated, improved and expanded.
On an exhibition area of over 250 square meters, numerous exhibits are displayed that impressively depict the life of the past, the hard work, and the everyday habits of the people. The modesty and poverty of the past are made visible.
