Green Trails Korbach at Eisenberg

When many people hear the words "trails" or "trail park," they often imagine routes that only enthusiastic and experienced mountain bikers can enjoy. The trails of the Green Trails Korbach But they look completely different: children, teenagers, adults and seniors can feel at home here and ride the four trails without any problems.

The trails are single trails in the landscape at KorbachThe trail is embedded in the Eisenberg. Two trails lead downhill, one uphill, and one parallel to the slope around the mountain. All routes are designed as one-way streets. The downhill trail has a maximum gradient of around 5 percent. This means that anyone – with an off-road bike – can ride the trails and experience a great deal of enjoyment and fun thanks to the special terrain.

A special highlight is the "Gold" themed trail, which runs parallel to the slope. The Gold Trail starts at the Gold Prospector's Hut (near the Zechehnhaus and the Eisenberghütte). Through small obstacles and playful features, this trail tells the story of the gold digger Caspar. Using smartphones and QR codes, the trail's five stations provide further interesting information about gold mining in general, as well as how the gold digger came to have gold and what his reward for his hard work was.

The following routes are available in the trail park Korbach:

• 2 x downhill trails
  
• 1 x uphill trail
• 1 x themed trail (parallel to the slope)

The four single trails have a total length of around 10 km and can be combined to form different circuits.

• ERL - Beginner Loop (1,7 km, 30 meters elevation gain)
• GOR - Gold Loop (2,4 km, 40 meters elevation gain)
• KBP - Korbach-Panorama (6,7 km, 165 meters elevation gain)
• EBU - Eisenberg Circuit (7,2 km, 180 meters elevation gain)
