Modern panoramic cabins: barrier-free access to nature experiences and winter sports highlights

One of Germany's most modern cable cars takes you safely and comfortably up to the 838-meter-high Ettelsberg in its spacious panoramic cabins. Once at the top, you'll find the Hochheide Tower with kiosk, the Ettelsberg adventure trails, a huge adventure playground, the rustic Ettelsberg Hut, the Kyrill Trail, and many other highlights.
The cable car's panoramic cabins travel particularly slowly at each station! Ground-level access allows for relaxed boarding and disembarkation! The cable car, tower, and cabin are wheelchair accessible.
Strollers, wheelchairs, mountain bikes, etc. can easily be transported in the cabins. Dogs are welcome; you just need to purchase a separate ticket.
In winter, winter sports enthusiasts will find snow-covered ski slopes as well as the ideal entry point into Willingen's network of cross-country ski trails and winter hiking trails.

Even wheelchairs can easily access the cable cars thanks to the completely ground-level entrance. The gondolas slow down at both the valley and mountain stations, allowing guests to board and disembark in a relaxed manner. And not only is the cable car itself accessible – the Hochheide Tower has also been designed to accommodate people with disabilities. A team of experts tested the conditions from the parking lot to the top of the tower and found them to be satisfactory. Staff are happy to assist.

No matter the season, there are a variety of recreational activities on the Ettelsberg. The high heath landscape invites you to hike and walk, and mountain bikers can enjoy marked trails for every skill and taste. Those who want to go even higher can visit the Hochheideturm (High Heath Tower) with its glass-enclosed viewing platform at 875 m above sea level. From up here, you can overlook the mountain lake, a small playground, and the Ettelsberg Hut, also known as Siggi's Hut. Just a few steps from the cable car summit station, it's a popular meeting place. Enjoy classics, such as the flaming hut spirit and pea soup in a jar.
