Ettelsberg
Here begins a vast hiking paradise through the Hochheide. From the Hochheide Tower, you have a fabulous view over the Hochsauerland and Waldecker LandIn winter, the Ettelsberg transforms into a winter wonderland, welcoming skiers to the slopes, as well as cross-country skiers, winter hikers, and snowshoe hikers. The Ettelsberg is also the starting point for the mountain bike zone trails.
Lake Ettelsberg, which serves as a reservoir for the snowmaking system, is a great place for a short stroll, including Rike's Caterpillar Trail, one of the adventure trails on the Ettelsberg. It's only a short 1,5 km walk to the Skywalk and the Mühlenkopf ski jump. The adventure playground will get children's hearts racing and romping.

Even wheelchairs can easily access the cable cars thanks to the completely ground-level entrance. The gondolas slow down at both the valley and mountain stations, allowing guests to board and disembark in a relaxed manner. And not only is the cable car itself accessible – the Hochheide Tower has also been designed to accommodate people with disabilities. A team of experts tested the conditions from the parking lot to the top of the tower and found them to be satisfactory. Staff are happy to assist.
