Hang gliding field Battenberg (Eder)

The Battenberg Hang Gliding and Paragliding Club (DGC) has been in existence since 1977. Its local mountain is the Battenberg Eisenberg, with a launch site elevation of 135 meters, offering west to northwest winds. From the launch site, one can see across the Eder Valley to the Battenberg district of Dodenau. The DGC also has a tow-launch area in Dodenau for west and east winds.
