Castle

The castle ruins of Eisenberg, surrounded by a wall and moat, are located at about 560m above sea level on the summit of the Eisenberg near Korbach-Goldhausen.

The complex offers children a huge adventure area, while adults can immerse themselves in the history dating back to the 13th century, which is explained on illustrated information panels.

From the neighboring Georg Viktor Observation Tower, you can enjoy a magnificent panoramic view, from the peaks of the Sauerland to the Ederberg Mountains and the Habichtswald forest near Kassel. The digital Georg Viktor Tower Panorama uses augmented reality to bring the castle ruins back to life in all their glory.

A gold educational trail, visitor mine, forest sports trail, and the Eisenberg Hut complete the offerings – there's something for everyone!
