Visitor Center Edersee
Architecturally, the building is based on the dam wall and is therefore a special feature with a regional reference. The concept idea arose from the symbolic cutting out of a section of the Eder Dam. The visitor center is divided into four areas: The foyer is located in the "cut through the wall". The outdoor area invites you to linger and is a place to meet. The large steps offer seating and from the terrace, visitors can overlook the lake and the wall. The tourist information and the panoramic lounge are located on the ground floor. The production on the history of the Edersee "Mythos Edersee" and the sanitary facilities are located in the basement.
The interior design is also based on the barrier wall: the floor and walls have a stone look and directly in the entrance the view goes up into the open tower. The feeling arises of standing in the mighty barrier wall itself. The wooden elements represent nature, which is of particular importance in the Edersee region.

who visits three attractions receives a 20% discount on admission to both

In general, the "AST taxi" should also be included in the planning. With the call-and-collect taxis, the NVV ensures mobility on routes that are not in such high demand. Instead of taking the bus, you travel in normal taxis or rental cars. AST taxis also have fixed timetables - you only have to register your travel request by phone (usually) up to 30 minutes before the journey. Also remember that AST taxis only run when there are no normal buses running at the same time.
