At the Best of Hiking Test Center in Waldeck am Edersee, you can easily try out a wide variety of hiking equipment and borrow it free of charge. Pick it up in the morning and return it in the evening; and in between, enjoy a beautiful day trip through our quality region, Hikable Germany. Our quality hiking trails, such as the Urwaldsteig, Kellerwaldsteig, and the premium trail Habichtswaldsteig, offer a wide variety of hiking options and varied terrain for testing your hiking equipment. 

And for those who are enthusiastic about one or other of the borrowed items, we have the relevant brochures available, as the equipment is not sold at the test center itself.

"Best of Hiking" is a network of 11 hiking regions in Germany, Austria, Belgium, Luxembourg and France that offer hiking enjoyment far away from mass tourism and hustle and bustle. The adventure cooperation has been inspiring hikers all over Europe for more than ten years. The special thing about the service: In the test centers in the partner regions you can borrow equipment from leading outdoor manufacturers free of charge and try it out on your tours.
