Treetop path Edersee
On the southern shore of Lake Edersee, in the immediate vicinity of the Kellerwald-Edersee National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the treetop walkway offers visitors an unforgettable nature and forest experience. The barrier-free 750-meter-long Squirrel Trail takes you from the forest floor to the treetops. From the viewing platform, you have a wonderful view of Lake Edersee and Waldeck Castle. At 250 meters long, the treetop walkway at Lake Edersee is an ideal destination for everyone, whether alone or in groups, and offers plenty of educational opportunities for all ages. Dogs are also welcome.

- We recommend traveling by road through Hemfurth via Bringhäuser Straße (K35) towards Rehbach.
Parking
There are ample parking spaces. A bus parking area is located directly in front of the ticket office. There are also sufficient parking spaces for bicycles.

Please note that the number of bicycles you can take on the buses is limited. Bicycles can be taken free of charge in the designated areas. If the operational situation requires it, the transport company staff is entitled to exclude use. There is no entitlement to take along.

In general, the "AST taxi" should also be included in the planning. With the call-and-collect taxis, the NVV ensures mobility on routes that are not in such high demand. Instead of taking the bus, you travel in normal taxis or rental cars. AST taxis also have fixed timetables - you only have to register your travel request by phone (usually) up to 30 minutes before the journey. Also remember that AST taxis only run when there are no normal buses running at the same time.
