Treetop path Edersee
On the southern bank of Lake Edersee, in the immediate vicinity of the Kellerwald-Edersee National Park with a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Hesse's first treetop path offers visitors an unforgettable nature and forest experience. Walk barrier-free along the 750 m long squirrel path from the forest floor to the treetops. From the viewing terrace you have a wonderful view of the Edersee and Waldeck Castle. At 250 m, the treetop path at Edersee is an ideal excursion destination for everyone, whether alone or in groups, and offers a lot of educational information for young and old. Dogs are also welcome.

Arrival & Parking
We recommend traveling by road through Hemfurth via Bringhäuser Straße (K35) towards Rehbach.
Parking
There are ample parking spaces. A bus parking area is located directly in front of the ticket office. There are also sufficient parking spaces for bicycles.
Public transportation
Nearest bus stop: Edertal-Hemfurth Wildpark
Line: 518
Please note that the number of bicycles you can take on the buses is limited. Bicycles can be taken free of charge in the designated areas. If the operational situation requires it, the transport company staff is entitled to exclude use. There is no entitlement to take along.
NVV Servcie telephone: 0800-939-0800
All connections including "AST-Taxi" (call-and-ride taxi) connections can be viewed in detail via the NVV timetable information - www.nvv.de/fahrplanauskunft
Tip for your smartphone - download the "NVV Mobil" app in the respective app store before the tour!
In general, the "AST taxi" should also be included in the planning. With the call-and-collect taxis, the NVV ensures mobility on routes that are not in such high demand. Instead of taking the bus, you travel in normal taxis or rental cars. AST taxis also have fixed timetables - you only have to register your travel request by phone (usually) up to 30 minutes before the journey. Also remember that AST taxis only run when there are no normal buses running at the same time.
