Once the water on its access roads has dried up, it can be visited and used by hikers and cyclists to cross the Eder. It was built between 1887 and 1890 and is now a listed monument. It connected Alt-Asel with the estate on the south bank, today's Asel-Süd sealing point. Alt-Asel was blown up by imperial pioneers after its evacuation.
