Destination nature

The Kellerwald-Edersee National Park has been a partner of the "Fahrtziel Natur" (Destination Nature) cooperation since 2018. This initiative provides information about traveling to natural areas by train and supports the integration of rail, bus, and other local mobility options.

More than 20 circular hiking trails lead through the beech forests of the Kellerwald-Edersee National Park and offer diverse insights into the landscape of the region.

Participating hosts in the national park region present their guests with the following upon arrival: MyCardMobile available. This guest card allows you to use buses, trains and on-demand shared taxis (AST) can be used in the fare zone of the North Hessian Transport Association (NVV).
The My Card Plus Furthermore, it includes admission to numerous leisure activities in Northern Hesse. These include, for example, the Kellerwald National Park Centre, the Edersee Wildlife Park and the Edersee Treetop Walkway. The included services can be used from the day of arrival.
