Only establishments with more than 9 beds are taken into account.

This monthly tourism survey is the primary source of information on overnight accommodations and guest numbers in the state of Hesse, highlighting current short-term trends in economic development as well as providing information on the structure of the accommodation industry. These statistical results can serve as a basis for tourism policy decisions, infrastructure planning, and tourism marketing and market research measures.

Hessian accommodation establishments with 10 or more guest beds (including campsites) are required to report.

For example, the following are requested: 

• the country of origin of the guests
• the number of overnight stays
• the beds offered
• the type of accommodation

For hotels with 25 or more guest rooms, the number of guest rooms and their occupancy are also requested.
