"It would probably be worth around 2 million euros today: the "Arolsen World Chronicle", which originated around 1400 and was housed in the Arolsen court library until 1927. It is one of the most valuable books of the Middle Ages."
In his lecture, Dr. Wolf will trace the adventurous history of this magnificent mammoth work.
 
Reading with Ms. Elisabeth Hastetter
on Sunday, August 9th at 5:00 pm in the dormitory
Ms. Hastetter, born in 1937 in the Palatinate region, has lived in Marsberg for many years and is known locally and regionally for her books. She will read from her work. new novel: “I am not an angel, I am not a ghost, I am a soul”This novel tells the story of a life that could happen to any woman and mother.


The Kellerwald-Edersee National Park – its history, significance and current development
Lecture by Mr. Achim Frede, one of the originators of the idea and leading project manager for the national park
on Sunday, September 6th at 5:00 PM in the dormitory
Deeply rooted in his home region, the biologist traces a broad historical arc from the vision of an internationally significant protected area, through its successful designation and expansion, to its recognition as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The gradual development of visitor infrastructure and fundamental planning steps are presented, as are advances in research, education, and management of the area, and the natural developments in the park's forests, waters, and special habitats.
 
Crime novel reading with Ms. Stübbe-Tewes
on Sunday, September 27th at 5:00 PM in the vault
"There is no solution without murder."
After Ms. Stübbe-Tewes showed her pictures of the Sauerland soul places in the dormitory last year, she will read from her crime novel this year.
She has chosen the medieval vault as a special location for this, which awaits us in its unrenovated original state.
