Guided tour "I spy with my little eye something"

Museum tour
City Festival

This public tour is aimed at children aged 8 to 12. Parents, grandparents, and siblings are allowed to come along. The tour sheds light on the education of princes and princesses in the 18th century. The children's participation is expressly desired, not just active listening.

Centerpiece: Family portrait of Prince Carl with his wife Christiane and 7 children; Lessons of Princes Carl, Friedrich and Christian; Marriage politics in the princely house; Dress code of Prince Friedrich; Souvenirs in the 18th century; Toys of the princes and princesses

Children and their accompanying adults are introduced to the life of a princely family in the 18th century in an entertaining way. What kind of clothes did little princes and princesses wear? When did school begin? Whom were the princesses allowed to marry? What souvenirs did Prince Christian, Prince Friedrich, and Prince Georg bring back from their travels?

At the end of the tour, the young participants receive a document roll to reinforce what they have learned.

Public guided tours are offered every Saturday at 11 a.m. during the school holidays in Hesse and North Rhine-Westphalia.

Exclusive guided tours are available on request via email at buchung@schloss-arolsen.de on your preferred date.
