Guided tour of the representative rooms of Arolsen Castle on the hour during opening hours. Duration approx. 45 to 60 minutes.
On the ground floor: Stone hall in baroque style, still used for concerts and e.g. wedding celebrations.
First floor: impressive staircase with expressive sculptures and frescoes
White Hall (banquet hall) with ancestral gallery and Flemish tapestries
Music salon (audience room) in Rococo style
White and red Empire salon authentically furnished with furniture by the court cabinetmaker Ferdinand Kaulbach and paintings by the Tischbein dynasty
Blue bedroom with the story of Princess Emma of Waldeck and Pyrmont and her sisters, who entered into dynastically interesting connections with European royal houses.
