With a new, creative event, the KorbachThe Hanseatic movement is moving into the city center. On Saturday, September 12, 2026, the event will take place for the first time. KorbachThe soapbox race takes place and combines sporting competition, family program and city center life.
Under the motto "Korbach "rolls" turns the pedestrian zone into a racetrack. Teams from Korbach and the region compete against each other with self-built soapbox cars, providing speed, creativity and top-notch entertainment right in the city center.
Whoever completes the course in the shortest time wins. But it's not just speed that counts: team spirit, ingenuity, and shared fun are what make this premiere so special.
In addition to the soapbox races, go-kart rides are also planned. This creates a diverse program that appeals to participants as well as spectators along the track.
