Densely wooded landscapes and hills convey a feeling of originality that is worth exploring, for example in the Kellerwald-Edersee Nature Park, in the Nature Park Diemelsee or in Hesse’s only national park, Kellerwald-Edersee, which United Nations Educational Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO)-World Heritage Site A dense network of hiking trails allows for individual explorations of the region's beauty.
