Geopark GrenzWelten

The GrenzWelten Geopark is a geological protected area covering 3.700 square kilometers in the border region between North Hesse and North Rhine-Westphalia. It was established to preserve and showcase the geological features and natural diversity of our region. Officially certified in 2009, the Geopark promotes sustainable regional development and the geotourism of the area. It offers visitors the opportunity to learn more about the geological processes, landforms, and history of the Earth in this region. Numerous guided tours led by specially trained Geopark guides are available.

Overall, the Geopark GrenzWelten across five counties: 
Waldeck-Frankenberg, Marburg-Biedenkopf, Schwalm-Eder district, Kassel district and Hochsauerland district.

I have been a certified Geopark guide since 2016 and am very familiar with the special features of our Geopark, be it the Korbacher Spalte or the Geo-Bike Route. Guided bike tours are just as much my passion as the children's beaver tours in the nature park. Diemelsee.
