Due to the geological diversity of the Waldecker LandNumerous mineral resources are found here – from non-ferrous and precious metals to iron and minerals, as well as usable solid and loose rock. The targeted search for these resources began early on, resulting in the creation of numerous mines and prospecting sites. Many of these remain intact to this day, some of them open to the public.
